Once you have completed the enrollment process for a new Aadhaar card, you have the option to check Aadhaar card application status through the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) website. There are various online methods available to verify the status of your Aadhaar card enrollment.
To check the status of your Aadhaar card online, you have multiple options available. You can check it using your enrollment number, without the enrollment number, through your mobile number, or even through India Post. These various methods provide flexibility and convenience, allowing you to stay updated on the progress of your Aadhaar card application easily and efficiently.
Check Aadhaar card status online using enrollment number:
After registering at the Aadhaar Seva Kendra, you'll receive an acknowledgment slip with a 14-digit enrollment ID. Use this 'Enrolment ID' found in the slip, containing both the 14-digit enrolment number and date/time to check your Aadhaar card application status online:
- Visit the official website of UIDAI.
- Enter the enrollment ID and date of enrollment in the required field.
- Enter the "Captcha Code" visible on the screen to verify.
- Click on "Check Status".
- By clicking on the "Download Aadhaar" option, you can download the e-Aadhaar.
- Alternatively, you can select the "Get Aadhaar on Mobile" option and get the status update on your registered phone number.
Check Aadhaar card status using mobile phone number online:
- Visit the official UIDAI website.
- Enter your 12-digit Aadhaar number along with your mobile number or email in the respective fields.
- Provide the security code displayed on the screen and click on the "Send OTP" option.
- You will receive an OTP (One-Time Password) instantly.
- Enter the OTP and click on the "Verify" option to complete the Aadhaar card mobile number verification online.
- Once your mobile number is verified with Aadhaar, you can dial the toll-free number 1800-300-1947 and provide the enrollment ID to check the status of your Aadhaar.
- In case your mobile number is not linked to your Aadhaar card, you will need to visit the nearest Permanent Aadhaar Centre for assistance.
Check Aadhaar card status online using name:
- Visit the official website of the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) and select the "Retrieve lost EID/UID" option.
- Provide essential details for retrieval, such as your name, email ID, phone number, and security code. An OTP will be sent to your registered mobile number.
- Enter the OTP received for verification.
- After successful verification, you will receive either the enrollment number or your Aadhaar on your mobile or email.
- Use the enrollment ID received to check your Aadhaar status, following the procedure mentioned earlier.
Check Aadhaar card status through mobile phone number SMS:
- Compose a message with the text "UID STATUS" followed by your 14-digit enrollment number.
- Send the message to the number 51969.
- Wait for a few minutes to receive an SMS response.
- The received SMS will provide you with the current status of your Aadhaar.
- If your Aadhaar has already been generated, the SMS will include your Aadhaar number.
- Alternatively, you can also call the toll-free number 1800 300 1947 from your registered mobile number.
- Provide your Enrolment ID to the agent during the call.
- The agent will verify your identity and then inform you about the status of your Aadhaar card.
Check Aadhaar card status online via India post office:
- Once your Aadhaar card is generated, UIDAI will send it to your address through the post, typically within 60-90 days.
- To check the delivery status, visit the official website of India Post.
- Obtain the consignment details from the Aadhaar website.
- Enter the consignment details in the relevant fields on the India Post website.
- After submitting the details, you can view the Aadhaar consignment details on your screen, which will provide information about the delivery status of your Aadhaar card.
Check Aadhaar card status using URN:
After successfully updating your address during the enrollment process, you will receive a 14-digit Update Request Number (URN) via SMS, which can be used to track the status of your Aadhaar online:
- Visit the official website of UIDAI.
- Enter your URN and Aadhaar number.
- Complete the verification process by entering the captcha code.
- Click on the "Check Status" option.
- Your Aadhaar status will be displayed on the screen.
Check Aadhaar card PVC card status:
- Visit myaadhaar.uidai.gov.in/checkstatus.
- Enter your SRN and captcha code.
- The status of your Aadhaar PVC application will be shown on the screen.
Check Aadhaar card biometric lock status:
- Open the m-Aadhaar application on your mobile phone and access the 'My Aadhaar' section.
- Enter your four-digit PIN to proceed.
- If your Aadhaar card is locked, a red lock icon will be visible on the screen. To unlock it, authentication using your virtual ID (VID) is required.
Check Aadhaar card biometric lock / unlock status:
- Open the m-Aadhaar application on your mobile phone and access the 'My Aadhaar' section.
- Enter your four-digit PIN to proceed.
- If your Aadhaar Biometric lock is activated, you will not be able to authenticate using your iris scan or fingerprints.
Check Aadhaar card bank account link status:
- Visit the official UIDAI website and access the 'My Aadhaar' section.
- Navigate to the 'Aadhaar Services' section and select 'Check Aadhaar/Bank Linking Status'.
- Provide your Aadhaar number or Virtual ID and click on the 'Send OTP' option.
- Enter the OTP received and click on 'Submit'. It will show the status of your Aadhaar Bank linking.
Check Aadhaar card update history:
- Go to the UIDAI website.
- Navigate to the "Update your Aadhaar" section under the My Aadhaar tab and choose "Aadhaar Update History."
- Provide either your Aadhaar number or the virtual ID along with the security code.
- Choose whether you want to receive an OTP on your registered mobile number or generate TOTP using the mAadhaar app.
- Enter the received OTP/TOTP and click on the "Submit" button.
- Upon completion, you will see a list of all update instances on the screen, including updates done online or offline, and changes made in biometric or demographic data.
To access this service, make sure to link your mobile number with Aadhaar because it is exclusively available online. The Aadhaar update history provides details such as date and time of checking, URN, date of update, type of update (biometric, demographic, or new Aadhaar request), photo of cardholder and demographic details (name, mobile number, email id, date of birth, gender, address).
